KUALA LUMPUR: Home-grown Information Technology (IT) player, TecAsia Group Bhd, aims to increase the number of its concept stores nationwide via the franchising strategy, having successfully obtained the franchise licence from the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development recently.

TecAsia currently owns and operates two retail IT concept stores in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

“With the franchising licence, we intend to extend our retail market presence throughout Malaysia to enhance consumers’ IT experiential value,” TecAsia managing director Ahmad Akmal Hamzah said in a statement yesterday.
