KUALA LUMPUR: PPB Group Bhd projects a 10% to 20% decline in consumer demand for its products including flour and sugar.

However, its chairman Datuk Oh Siew Nam said the group did not expect revenue and earnings for this financial year to be adversely affected because the margins hinged on the commodity prices.

"While we foresee this year to be a tough one, there are many variables that would affect our income stream, and there are signs commodity prices are easing," said Oh.

The diversified group is a major producer of sugar and flour, beside interest in properties, leisure and other consumer products.
