KUALA LUMPUR: IGB Corporation Bhd posted a net profit of RM33.9 million for the first quarter (1Q) ended March 31, 2009, down 7.6% from RM36.7 million a year earlier, while revenue rose marginally to RM165.56 million from RM162 million previously.

Its 1Q earnings per share was 2.31 sen, compared with 2.48 sen previously, the company told Bursa Malaysia today. The better revenue was mainly due to higher contributions from the property investment and hotel divisions, it said.
