HP Malaysia appoints new GM for IPG

KUALA LUMPUR: HP has appointed Bernard Chiang as the general manager of its imaging and printing group (IPG) in Malaysia with effect from yesterday, responsible for sales, marketing, consumer support and category management activities in Malaysia.

In a statement yesterday, HP said prior to this, Chiang was the Asean general manager for the enterprise business of Nortel Networks Malaysia Sdn Bhd. HP IPG Southeast Asia vice-president Margaret Ong said Chiang brought with him over 20 years of experience in leading technology companies like IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft and Nortel Networks, covering a variety of businesses, including PCs, software, IT financing and networking solutions.
