Bank Negara appoints investment ops director Norzila as asst governor

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara has appointed Norzila Abdul Aziz as an assistant governor effective Nov 1 to oversee the investment operations and financial market department and the foreign exchange administration department.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Nov 19, the central bank said prior to her appointment as assistant governor, Norzila was the director of the investment operations and financial market department, a position she held since 2006.

Norzila joined Bank Negara in 1986 and had served in the investment operations and financial market department's London representative offfice.

She holds a business degree from Curtin University, Western Australia and is a member of the Australian Society of Accountants.
