High fliers Jetson, Lityan down in mid-afternoon

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of high fliers Kumpulan Jetson Bhd and Lityan Holdings Bhd fell in mid-afternoon trade on Thursday, Nov 19, as investors decided to trim their positions in the companies in the absence of fresh news.

At 3.22pm, Jetson-LA was down 20 sen to RM2.51, Jetson was 15 sen lower to RM2.73 while its warrants lost nine sen to RM1.82. Lityan fell 13 sen to RM2.43 with 1.46 million shares done.

The stocks of the two companies had risen sharply, accompanied by high volume in recent weeks. The unusual market activity prompted Bursa Malaysia Securities to query both companies.

The 30-stock FBM KLCI fell 0.76 of a point to 1,274.34. Turnover was 1.01 billion shares valued at RM2.04 billion.
