Red Bull claims top spot in energy drink

KUALA LUMPUR: Red Bull Malaysia has claimed top leadership in the energy drink market in the country, citing a research conducted by the Nielsen Company.

In a statement today, Red Bull Malaysia said it had a 40% market share within its category. The energy drink was introduced into the local market in 1993.

Citing Nielsen, it said one in three Malaysians had tried and consumed Red Bull.
