KUALA LUMPUR: SKP Resources Bhd's subsidiary Syarikat Sin Kwang Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd has entered into a contract with Dyson Manufacturing Sdn Bhd to manufacture and supply Dyson vacuum cleaners and other products.

"The contract will provide Sin Kwang with opportunities to further expand and grow its core business in the manufacturing of plastic products. It is hoped that this contract will mark the start of a long and profitable business relationship with Dyson for future projects or businesses," SKP announced to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

It said pursuant to the contract, which it had entered into on Nov 25, Sin Kwang had been appointed as one of four companies Dyson used to make its products in Malaysia.

It said the work involved sourcing raw materials, components and subassemblies in conjunction with Dyson and manufacturing the product in accordance with Dyson's planned requirements.

Production was dependent on Sin Kwang meeting a number of quality requirements and succeeding in the tenders for the allocation of products, it added.
