KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet is discussing in detail the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) to ensure all parties involved will have a clearer picture  when it is implemented, Second Finance Minister, Datuk Seri  Ahmad Husni said.

“We are looking at the level of readiness of the country when we implement this tax,” he said on Thursday, March 11.

He rebutted market talk about the government abandoning the GST plan, adding the Cabinet “did not say it did not want to implement the GST”.
