KUALA LUMPUR: Deutsche Bank AG subsidiary Deutsche Trustees Malaysia Bhd (DTMB) on Thursday, March 11, launched its registrar and transfer agency (R&TA) services in the country to complement its existing suite of custody-related services.

"The launch of R&TA services in Malaysia marks an important milestone towards our goal of becoming the leading provider of end-to-end custody related services in Malaysia," said DTMB's head of global transaction banking Ridzal Sheriff.

"Outsourcing R&TA services allows fund managers to focus their resources on core activities," he said.

According to a statement from the bank, R&TA services included maintaining the register of unit holders for collective investment schemes, including unit trust funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), third-party on-shore or off-shore funds and wholesale funds.

It said the service is also provided to institutions offering wealth management to their investors. The launch of its Malaysian R&TA division brings the total of Deutsche Bank's Asia-Pacific markets served in the segment to eight.
