KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Bhd, through its subsidiary Sime Darby AutoConneXion Sdn Bhd, has introduced the first C-Class diesel-powered passenger car here.

The Ford Focus TDCi 2.0-litre DuraTorg Turbodiesel is the first diesel car in its price segment to be introduced in the Malaysian market, said Ford Motor Company Asia Pacific regional manager at Ford export and growth operations David Westerman.

"The 2.0-litre DuraTorq Turbodiesel engine delivers the best in class performance, engineering and safety. Combined with better cost and fuel efficiency, the Focus TDCi model promises no compromise to its driving performance," he said in a statement on Thursday, March 11.

Sime Darby AutoConneXion is the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia.

"We are confident it will garner strong appeal among Malaysian consumers who appreciate style and driving performance," said Sime Darby Auto ConneXion managing director Hazem Abd Rahman.

The new Ford Focus 2.0L (5-door Sport) Diesel TDCi retails at RM128,888 and can be viewed at selected Sime Darby AutoConnexion showrooms from this month.
