KUALA LUMPUR: Transocean Holdings Bhd announced on Thursday, April 15, the resignation of founder/executive director Tan Swee Khoon and independent and non-executive director Khoo Boo Hong.

In a series of announcements to Bursa Malaysia, the company also said Khoo was resigning as chairman of the audit committee.

Khoo, 86, was one of the pioneers in the maritime industry in Penang and had served in senior management positions in a few international shipping companies.

He was also a board member of the Penang Port Commission and the Convenor of the International Shipowners Association of Malaysia, Northern Branch. Currently, he is the Honorary Secretary of the Trustees of Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi (Penang) Registered.

Tan, 58, a founding member of Transocean Group, has over 30 years' experience in the logistic industry, especially in the freight forwarding business.
