OSK Research maintains buy call on TASCO

KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Investment Research has maintained its buy call on TASCO Bhd at 99 sen with an unchanged target price and said the company's Q1 results were in line due to the low base effect last year, with revenue and net profit making a sharp upturn.

Despite fewer working days during the quarter, TASCO managed to record turnover growth of 3.73% quarter-on-quarter as overall logistics activity picked up although its bottom-line took a small hit from higher taxes, it said.

The higher volume led to improved margins across all levels, it said.

"We remain positive on the rest of the year as volume rebounds amid an improving global economic landscape stimulating trade activities," said OSK Research.
