Education counters up in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR: Education-related counters continued to shine on Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, July 20, with HELP International Corporation Bhd, SEG International Bhd (SEGi) and Nilai Resources Bhd among the top gainers in early trade.

At 9.45am, HELP rose 35 sen to RM4.40 with 140,400 shares traded.

HELP had proposed a three-for-five bonus issue as part of its corporate exercise. Its share price had surged 29 sen to a record high of RM4.05 on Monday ahead of the announcement.

The corporate exercise involves the bonus issue of 53.26 million new shares on a three-for-five basis at an entitlement date to be determined later.

Meanwhile, SEGi added 14 sen to RM2.32, Nilai up 11 sen to 68 sen, while Masterskill Education Group Bhd gained six sen to RM4.06.
