The highlight of the event is the presentation of the Special League Achievement Awards for the best deals done in 2008. Called the Blue Print Awards, the categories are real estate, project financing and structured financing. Topping it off is the Outstanding Deal of the Year for the debt market transaction that has made a difference. Awards will also be given to lead managers for funds raised in the conventional and Islamic categories, based on value and number of deals done. There are four awards in this category.  There will also be special merit awards for the top lead manager in the corporate bond market and corporate sukuk market. Finally, the Industry Recognition Award (institution) will be given to an institution that has made an outstanding contribution to elevating the country’s reputation in the global financial markets. Commenting on the award, RAM Holdings Bhd executive deputy chairman Tan Sri C Rajandram said: “We want to encourage the development of the private debt market in this country.” The awards are for the exceptional trailblazers who have created standards that have further advanced the domestic bond market.
