Proton, TMI up in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Proton and TM International rose in early trade on March 31, nudging the KL Composite Index up slightly but the overall breadth of the market was cautious due to the weaker Asian markets.

At 9.16am, the KLCI was up 0.34 point to 869.68.

Proton rose seven sen to RM1.60 with 411,600 shares traded after it announced that it was looking at RM2 billion in revenue over the next five years from its strategic  licensing and assembly agreement with Detroit Electric Holdings.

TM International rose five sen to RM2.26 with 1.19 million shares done. On March 30, it fell 17 sen to RM2.21.

OSK Investment Research had upgraded it to Neutral as it expected the share price to find good support at the RM2.20-RM2.30 level for the rights to be attractive.
