BBDO/Proximity Malaysia among Top 10 most awarded agencies globally |

The Big Won report has ranked BBDO/Proximity Malaysia as the eighth most awarded individual agency in the world last year and BBDO Worldwide as the top network for the third year running.
Akin to the Gunn Report, The Big Won is an international register that gauges the performance of agencies according to the quantity and quality of awards won across all marketing disciplines. The annual report is produced in collaboration with The Garden, a London-based recruitment consultancy for advertising and marketing. BBDO Worldwide was also ranked the world’s top network last year by the Gunn Report.
“The Big Won report ranking is an excellent piece of news to start the year with. While we are of the belief that our performance is only as good as our best client, The Big Won report ranking further attests to the fact that benchmarking ourselves against the best will only reap sweeter success,” BBDO/Proximity Malaysia group chief executive Jennifer Chan said in a Jan 27 press release.
BBDO/Proximity Malaysia’s ranking has helped put Malaysia on the map as the eighth highest performing country in the press, poster and television categories, added the release.
Individuals who helped BBDO/Proximity Malaysia to a string of successes last year were also ranked among the world’s top creatives by The Big Won. BBDO Proximity Malaysia boasts the world’s top two most awarded copywriters in Ronald Ng and Kevin Le.
Former chief creative officer (CCO) Ng is also the world’s fourth most awarded CCO. Ng is now executive vice-president of BBDO New York.
Current executive creative director Mun Tuck Wai was ranked the second best international creative director in the world. Mun is also responsible for leading a team that tied for second in The Big Won report’s selection of most awarded art directors.
BBDO/Proximity’s “Two Worlds” campaign for Jeep was ranked No 10 most awarded creative campaign in the world. It was also the most awarded poster campaign and ranked in the top three most awarded print campaigns in the world.
The Big Won report covers nearly 10,000 awards presented in 73 countries to more than 1,600 agencies across all marketing disciplines, including advertising, direct and digital marketing. It also tracks the performance of top individual creative talents around the world.
