"David MitchellKUALA LUMPUR: Naga DDB today announced that it has added TM Asia Life and Julie’s Biscuits to its list of clients.

The creative agency, which is under the Foetus International Group of companies, was awarded the rebranding exercise for TM Asia Life. Naga DDB won the account after a two-way pitch with Dentsu Malaysia in February. Part of the Tokyo Marine Group, TM Asia Life has tasked Naga DDB with the group’s insurance business.

The size of the account was not revealed.

According to Naga DDB chief operating officer David Mitchell (pic), the rebranding exercise is part of a "longer term ambition to become a major player". He said in an e-mail interview today that the contract period was still being negotiated, but added that it would be for a "minimum of one year".

Naga DDB has also been appointed by Julie’s Biscuits as the main creative agency for 2010. Mitchell said the Melaka-based biscuit manufacturer approached Naga DDB based on the strength of the agency's previous work and existing client base.

Mitchell, however, declined to disclose the amount of the agency's retainer fee.

"While it's still too early to see how this year's revenue will be affected, it is an encouraging start to the year," said Mitchell.

The two recent wins brings the agency's total number of clients to 22, including DiGi Telecommunications, Perodua and Nippon Paint.
