Go Comm adds 9 new clients

PR agency Go Communications (Go Comm) has clinched a total of nine new clients including Osim and Mattel’s Hot Wheels.

It expects the new accounts to boost annual revenue by 20% to 35% and profits by possibly some 12%, said Go Communications COO Peter de Kretser. However, de Kretser declined to reveal the company’s revenue and profit figures for last year or the size of the account wins.

“Some, like Hot Wheels, we had pitched for around the end of last year, but quite a few others were the results of pitches this year,” he said. The new wins bring Go Comm’s client list, which includes Tourism Victoria, to 22.

Of the nine wins, four are on a project basis and five are on retainer. The Osim contract is a six-month retainer and Go Comm has already started the ball rolling with an online campaign promoting the brand’s uKimono massage belt, said de Kretser. Osim’s launch of its uSofa Petit massage chair next week will be handled by Go Comm.

Mattel’s Hot Wheels is a one-year project-based account. Go Comm will organise ground events in Malaysia for Mattel’s toy cars in conjunction with this year’s F1 races.

“Our increasingly higher rate of account wins can be credited to the Go Comm’s brand maturing. With more success stories to present at pitches, it is a lot easier to gain the client’s confidence than it was when we first started in 2006,” said de Kretser who, along with his father Michael de Kretser, CEO of Go Comm, founded the agency.

The new wins are a good sign that Go Comm will achieve its target of 40% increase in revenue for this year, said de Kretser. “We are also aiming to expand into different markets, targeting emerging economies, this year,” he added.
