The Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), at its 9th Annual General Meeting held recently, elected Wong Boon Choy as president. Wong urged all CFP licensees and members to work towards realising FPAM’s vision of establishing financial planning as a nationally recognised profession. “Financial planners can make a difference in the life of our clients for the better. It is a profession that we can truly be proud of and we should do all we can to promote it,” he said.

He also reaffirmed the association’s commitment to promoting excellence in financial planning for the benefit of all Malaysians. Towards this end, FPAM will continue to organise more talks, workshops, courses and forums on the subject throughout the country. Wong, CEO of MAAKL Mutual Bhd, is a founding member of the association.
