Loke was commenting on two books which were placed on the windscreen of cars parked along Batu 7 of the main road, Jalan Pantai, here last Saturday. One of the books, entitled Wajah Sebenar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim: Nasib Orang Melayu Selangor (The Real Face of Tan Sri Ibrahim: The Plight of the Selangor Malays) — accused the Selangor menteri besar of sidelining the Malays in the state. During the press conference, Loke slammed these allegations as a ploy to "degrade the credibility of Malay Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders". According to Loke, who is MP for Rasah, these "half-truths" presented a skewed representation of issues while maintaining that any assistance given to the non-Malay community was not at the expense of the Malays. Met later, BN candidate Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad said he had not heard about such books being distributed and dismissed allegations that these had been circulated by BN supporters. "BN does not do these things. We have no time," Isa told reporters. The other book, 50 Kemusykilan Tentang Manusia Bernama Anwar Ibrahim (50 Questions on The Person Named Anwar Ibrahim), questioned Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's commitment to the Malay community. It is unclear who was behind the distribution as the books do not bear any information on its author or publisher.
