PUTRAJAYA: Despite handing over his duties, former education minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said he hopes to represent Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Unesco meeting this year.

"We've got good relationship with the Director-General of Unesco and I hope to represent him (Muhyiddin) in this year's meeting," said Hishammuddin after handing over his portfolio to the deputy prime minister this morning.

The incoming home minister said he hopes Muhyiddin can help translate the OneMalaysia policy to the education policies.

"I've handed our blueprint to Muhyiddin, too," said Hishammuddin.

The press meanwhile are waiting for Muhyiddin to complete his briefing with ministry officials.
