KUALA LUMPUR (April 2): AIMS Group, the data centre arm of TIME dotCom Bhd, said it would start construction of AIMS Cyberjaya Block 3, with work to be completed by the second quarter of 2025 following completion of AIMS Cyberjaya Block 2.

It said Block 3 is expected to boast a higher total IT load capacity of 12MW while featuring the option of a liquid cooling system.

Commenting on the uptake of AIMS Cyberjaya Block 2, AIMS chief executive officer Chiew Kok Hin said: "Block 2 is a high-power density data centre, capable of achieving up to 20kW per rack at the highest range. The cooling system in Block 2 utilises a chilled-water fan wall, combining market-leading technologies to optimise the aerodynamic impact of internal components."

He added that to ensure precise control of airflow and temperature under any condition, a smart control system manages the overall infrastructure, embedding specific algorithms designed for non-raised floor applications.

The construction of AIMS Cyberjaya Block 2 involved collaboration with Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gamuda Bhd.

TIME dotCom’s shares concluded at RM5.18 on Tuesday, representing an increase of 0.19% or one sen, resulting in a market capitalisation of RM9.58 billion.
